Remember Sureedu, the man with grey hair and safari attire standing behind former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy all through the day?
The personal assistant of YSR, Sureedu, had almost gone into oblivion after the latter’s untimely death in September 2009.
He made a desperate attempt to get associated with YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, but the latter did not entertain him.
Later, his name was heard in the sensational scholarship scam involving Velugubanti Suryanarayana and Saritha Devi.
He was also questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the Emaar-MGF scam, but subsequently, he was seen nowhere.
On Thursday, Sureedu made a surprise appearance at the camp office of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Vijayawada, triggering widespread speculations. He spent over half-an-hour with Naidu.
Sources said Sureedu, who was very much information of the internal affairs of YSR family, had given some clues to Naidu over the alleged land dealings of Jagan and his family members.
In return, he is learnt to have asked the Chief Minister to bail him out of the scholarship scam, which is still under investigation.
