Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu cannot escape from showing accounts for every rupee given by the Centre and cannot get away by making false allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party.
This was asserted by BJP official spokesperson and MP G V L Narasimha Rao on Wednesday. He said Naidu was resorting to blatant lying on central funds.
“He has misused the central funds and when the centre asked for proper accounts, he submitted fake utilisation certificates showing that funds had been spent without actually doing so,” Rao said.
“We are not going to believe whatever he says and he cannot get away with his massive corruption in capital construction works. He has no way but to submit accounts for every rupee released by the centre,” the BJP spokesman said. “We do not know whether he is running a democratic government or a mafia government,” he criticised.
The BJP is not prepared to allow Naidu to use central funds for election expenditure.
“We are not prepared to tolerate this corrupt government anymore,” Rao said.
He pointed out that it was the TDP which had shown unusual interest in forging alliance with the BJP before 2014.
“We have recorded evidence to prove how the TDP leaders had done extensive lobbying with our party leadership to have an alliance with the BJP in 2014 elections. We shall soon release these tapes to expose the vulnerability of Naidu,” he said.
