Youngsters to replace seniors in Jagan team?

YSR Congress Party president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is reportedly planning to overhaul his entire party structure and infuse young blood into his team.

According to party sources, the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) team, led by Rishi Raj Singh, did not conduct any post-election analysis. They wrapped up operations soon after the election results without even submitting a report on the poll outcomes to Jagan.

As a result, Jagan has begun analyzing the factors that led to the YSRCP's defeat in the recent assembly elections.

One key issue identified was the lack of cohesion between the senior members of his core team and the party leaders and cadre at the grassroots level.

Jagan is believed to have realized that most of the senior members had lost touch with the public and were disconnected from the ground reality. The surveys presented to Jagan were reportedly fabricated in collaboration with the I-PAC team members.

Sources indicate that rather than blaming the senior members, Jagan is considering sidelining them and bringing in fresh faces, preferably young leaders with new ideas who have been actively engaging with the people.

If these speculations are accurate, young leaders like Tirupati MP Maddila Gurumurthy, Perni Kittu, Gadikota Srikanth Reddy, Vempali Satish Reddy and Chevireddy Mohith might become part of Jagan’s new think tank.

Senior leaders like Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, Y V Subba Reddy, V Vijay Sai Reddy, and Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, who have previously been prominent in Jagan’s core team, may be gradually phased out.

“But this will take some time, as Jagan cannot ask all the senior members to step down from their responsibilities immediately. While giving key positions to the younger leaders, he might ask the seniors to guide them and help coordinate their activities,” sources added.
