
Alleging the UPA government has utterly failed to control the skyrocketing prices of essential commodities, Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said women were crying when they went to market to buy onions the price of which had gone up to Rs 90 per kg.
Naidu alleged that the UPA government was only issuing statements on controlling the prices of essential commodities, but nothing was happening in action.
“There is no comparison between its assurances and actions,” Naidu said in his Twitter posting.
Demanding implementation of Nirbhaya Act effectively, the TDP President said the Act failed to provide protection to IT girls, and it could not save a lady software engineer at Hyderabad, who was raped by two persons.
