Will They Pool So Much Land In 45 Days?

The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to complete the process of procuring land through land pooling in 45 days.

The government intends to procure 30,000 acres and for this it will be giving Rs 25,000 per month for a year as compensation.

As per a latest decision, the government will give 40 per cent of the land to the farmers post development and it will retain the remaining 60 per cent.

The Land Pooling Committee will meet under the aegis of Finance Minister Yenamala Ramakrishnudu on October 30.

The plan is to develop the capital in sectors on the lines of Chandigarh. Meanwhile, Agriculture Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao has said that land will procured from 17 villages.

The procurement will begin from the Guntur side of Vijayawada’s Bhavani Dweepam. But permissions will not be given to industries here.

The capital will comprise mostly of government buildings. But there are doubts about the government being able to procure 30,000 acres within 45 days. If the farmers cooperate with the government, then it is quite possible. Else, it might pose a new problem for the government.
