Will Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Visakhapatnam, is the big question doing rounds in the two Telugu states, particularly in Andhra Pradesh.
There reports that the Prime Minister’s office had sent a communication to the Jana Sena chief asking him to be available in Visakhapatnam to meet the Prime Minister.
However, the time is not finalised yet, though Pawan Kalyan would reach Visakhapatnam in a chartered flight from Hyderabad on Friday noon.
The Prime Minister’s office did not invite Pawan Kalyan for the Bhimavaram meeting held on July 3, marking the unveiling of the statue of freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju.
As the Prime Minister is arriving in Visakhapatnam on Friday evening and would stay till Saturday noon, the talk is that he would give audience to the Jana Sena chief at his convenient time – either in the Friday night or on Saturday morning.
It is also not known whether the Prime Minister would invite the Jana Sena chief for the official programmes of the Central government followed by a public meeting.
Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy too will be present in these official programmes, and it would be quite interesting to watch both Pawan Kalyan and Jagan Mohan Reddy on the dais, if it happens!
It is also not clear whether the Prime Minister’s Office took the initiative, or the Jana Sena chief sought the appointment of the Prime Minister.
Pawan Kalyan is having troubles with the state government these days and he is going ferociously against the ruling YSR Congress leaders.
He was stopped in his recent visit to Visakhapatnam and his party leaders were arrested on charges of pelting stones at the ministers’ convoy.
