The announcement by election strategist Prashant Kishor that he would be going to people, the real masters, to better understand the issues and the path to good governance has kicked up speculations on whether it was part of an understanding between him and Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Prashant hinted that he might be directly entering politics by floating a new political party. Since he quoted “Jan Suraj” in Hindi, it is being assumed that it could be the name of his proposed political party.
Prashant said he would make a beginning in Bihar. For the last two days, he has been holding meetings with like-minded parties and leaders. He had earlier launched an initiative called ‘Baat Bihar Ki’ to gauge the mood of the state.
Now, the obvious question is whether the Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister would be part of Prashant Kishor’s political plans.
There is a talk that the strategist had discussed everything with KCR during his two-day deliberations with him at Pragati Bhavan and later at his farmhouse.
“Maybe, he had discussed his plans of launching a new political party, starting with Bihar and expanding it to other parts of the country later. And from South, KCR could be part of the overall agenda of Prashant Kishor,” sources said.
It was only after discussing with Prashant Kishor that KCR is understood to have made a statement in the TRS party plenary that he was not interested in the concept of fronts to dislodge the BJP at the Centre but in coming out with the people’s agenda.
Interestingly, Prashant Kishor also disclosed his agenda through his statement that he is aiming at achieving Jan Suraj by going into people and understanding their agenda.
It remains to be seen how the political equations take a turn in the coming days.
