A few farmers who are not happy to lose their farm lands as part of land pooling for the new capital, have started spreading new rumours.
In fact, there are many who believe that the government had included Amaravathi, Tullur and a few other villages in the new plan for capital city due to vaastu reasons.
They believe the government is into acquiring private lands instead of developing government lands due to this sentiment.
So, to counter their move, the farmers have come up with their own version of sentiments.
They claim that all the four CMs who came to Tullur lost their power within few days citing the examples of Prakasam Pantulu, Kasu Brahmananda Reddy, NT Rama Rao and Konijeti Rosaiah.
Though no one can verify these sentiments, an English daily has been carrying various stories to this affect. While the CMs lost power merely by visiting Tullur, Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu is contemplating developing the new capital, they warn.
Meanwhile a TDP leader belonging to Lingayapalem has brushed aside these stories saying that they are being spread by farmers who are not willing to part with their farm lands. He also criticized those involved in spreading such stories.
On the other hand, apart from the 17 villages they mentioned in the past, the government will now procure land from two other villages – Venkatayapalem and Inavolu.
