Popularly known as Jagga Reddy alias Toorpu Jayaprakash Reddy was a Congress leader till recently.
Prior to that, he was a staunch KCR follower. Now, he is a BJP leader and feels he is the right opponent for KCR (well, at least that is his personal feeling).
Jagga Reddy who is contesting in Medak by-polls on BJP ticket has been showering criticism on opposition members.
He has been claiming that he would tear TRS and KCR apart if he wins the election. But even a kid in Telangana knows that it is not possible as KCR is the CM here. Many feel that he has been over-estimating his presence and popularity among people.
Post 2014 elections, many BJP leaders from Medak jumped into TDP. So, leaving aside the TDP, will erstwhile Congress vote bank come to his share? Going by what happened recently, it is highly unlikely say political analysts.
So, given the situation, it is better if Jagga Reddy speaks practically and sets reachable targets. In fact, there is common opinion that instead of trying to gain visibility by criticizing TRS, it would be in his interests to tell what he would do if he and BJP are voted to power in Medak.
An interesting development is that the BJP is trying to figure out if Jagga Reddy would be an asset or a pile on by the end of it. Well, Jagga Reddy’s behavior is to be blamed for it, say party insiders.
