Chandra Babu Naidu made a statement that if TDP is voted to power in Telangana, the next CM would be from the backward castes.
He said social equality in Telangana would be possible only by voting TDP to power. Earlier, KCR had earlier promised that a dalit would be made the CM in Telangana. However, he has kept mum after separation has become a reality.
It is being felt that Chandra Babu made this strategic statement after KCR was criticized for renegading on his stand.
He also pointed out that if TRS is voted to power, companies would refrain from investing in Telangana.
He assured that development would happen in Telangana if TDP is voted to power as it would encourage companies to invest in the region.
Wonder if his backward slogan works this time around. Though the leaders from other castes are silent for now, wouldn’t they be secretly grudging such announcements?
