Why shouldn't the governor be given responsibility?

It is public knowledge that the TRS government is staunchly opposing the handing over of the law and order responsibility of Hyderabad to the Governor.

The Center has decided to take legal counsel over this issue. While the TRS allege it is a ploy to make Hyderabad into a ‘Union Territory’, for the Seemandhra people who have been the backbone of turning Hyderabad into a world-class city, it is a question of credibility.

KCR with his separatist agenda cannot be trusted to dispense justice in a fair manner.

His high-handedness and uncouth remarks do not inspire any positive vibes and needless to say, the Seemandhra people will feel more secure under the Governor’s dispensation.

Anyway, the Governor will have jurisdiction only for the period of ten years after which the people of Telangana can have their jackpot, Hyderabad all to themselves.

The percentage of Seemandhra people in Hyderabad is nearly 40%, on par with the Muslim community. Clearly, a decision needs to be taken on the basis of actual ground realities instead of a decadent past.

The security of 40% people in the State is at stake. There are absolutely no safeguards to the Seemandhra people who have made Hyderabad their home.

Against this backdrop and without any further delay, the Center should immediately make the Governor the sole custodian of law and order in Hyderabad.

The TRS, true to its nature is talking of another violent agitation if this is done. This time, things should be dealt with an iron hand and thankfully, the BJP has a decisive mandate to do this.

It is only a question of will! Seemandhra people in Hyderabad have suffered enough mental agony. It is time to put a stop to this nuisance once and for all!
