There have been thoughts that Revanth Reddy might support TDP in the upcoming AP elections because he's close to Chandrababu Naidu.
But officially, Revanth himself stated a few days ago that he's not going to work for any party other than Congress. Although it seems like a politically correct statement, there's a reason for him to stay away from AP politics.
Revanth Reddy is currently the Chief Minister of Telangana and wants to keep his position for a longer time rather than getting involved in neighboring state politics rubbing the Reddies of Telangana on wrong side.
If he supports TDP now, the secret would likely be revealed and could disturb the Reddy community in Telangana.
The Reddies of Telangana voted for Congress due to anti-incumbency and elected Revanth as the CM. If he gets involved in AP politics, it might upset some Reddy voters, which could be harmful for his position in the future.
In 2014, Reddies turned against TDP and voted for TRS in Telangana. The same thing might happen again down the line as Revanth's strength lies in the Reddy community in Telangana.
Considering Revanth's intelligence, insiders say that he won't engage in AP politics in any way.
