There appears to be no possibility of a consensus on conducting the important ‘EAMCET’ between AP and Telangana.
While, AP is in favor of conducting the exam jointly for both the States and cites the AP Reorganization Bill to back its claim, Telangana is keen on having its own entrance.
Even the Governor has failed to resolve the issue. Meanwhile the AP government has passed a notification that the entrance would be jointly conducted for both States.
Protesting this decision, various student bodies took to the streets in Hyderabad demanding a separate entrance test for Telangana.
One does not know the intricacies involved in conducting the exam but on the face of it, it appears as if AP need not put up with the nuisance of conducting the exam for Telangana region as well.
When Telangana people clearly want their own entrance why do we need to take responsibility for them? Why put up with the nuisance of another round of agitations from the students of Telangana who are clearly itching for such an opportunity?
