Telugu Desam Party on Tuesday wondered why YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was planning to undertake his pet “Odarpu yatra” from November 16 in the Seemandhra region.
TDP senior leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu sought to know why and for whom Jagan wanted to resume Odarpu yatra.
“What will be Jagan’s reply to the people on his imprisonment for 16 months on charges of embezzlement of several crores of public money? So far the Directorate of Enforcement (DE) seized his properties worth of Rs 229 crores,” he reminded.
He ridiculed Jagan saying that the YSRCP chief might be wanting to wipe out the tears of people whose money he had looted indiscriminately.
Instead of resuming his yatra, Jagan should soothe feelings of industrialists and bureaucrats, who were sent to jail for his misdeeds, the TDP leader added.
Yanamala alleged that the YSRCP has been enacting Samaikhyandhra drama after a tacit understanding with the Congress party.
