The government of Andhra Pradesh is creating a Kapu development Corporation to extend loans to unemployed youth of that community.
Angered at this decision, an NGO called ‘Gareeb Guide’ has questioned the government’s move in High Court asking that similarly-placed communities such as Kammas, Reddys and Brahmins too should be given such facilities.
But the NGO’s plea received a setback with the High Court refusing to stay the government’s decision on the grounds that the same relief was not being given to other similarly placed sections. But it made an interesting observation.
“Let them also go and make a representation to the state and come to us if their pleas are rejected by the state,” said the Court.
Now God only knows what promises CBN has made to how many communities. If all these communities start approaching the High Court, then it will take up CBN’s entire time up to 2019 just to create corporations for them.
Why not an AP Corporation that will provide loans to all unemployed, poor youth irrespective of caste or religion?
