Why No Disciplinary Action Against Kiran?

Why No Disciplinary Action Against Kiran?

Congress general secretary and in-charge of party affairs in Andhra Pradesh, Digvijay Singh has made a strategic statement that the Congress Party will not be taking any disciplinary action against Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy.

He clarified that they will not be taking action by linking up the Telangana issue with lack of discipline.

However, it has to be understood that Kiran Kumar Reddy has already announced that he will put in his papers once the President approves the T Bill or after it is introduced in the Parliament for final approval.

Also, if disciplinary action is taken against Kiran Kumar Reddy, the party will also have to take action against PCC chieft Botsa Satyanarayana and many other leaders belonging to Seemandhra.

When Kiran Kumar Reddy staged a dharna at Janta Mantar, many Congress seemandhra leaders including union ministers joined him.

So the best option for the Congress is to make Kiran Kumar Reddy choose the time to put in his resignation or eventually relieve him of the CM’s post instead of taking disciplinary action.
