The Congress high command, which has expelled six of its party MPs in one stroke for opposing the State bifurcation process, is silent on taking any action against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy who too has been defying the party strongly in the same issue.
AICC in-charge of Andhra affairs Digvijay Singh defended the move saying the MPs were suspended only because they had served a notice for no-confidence motion against the UPA government.
“There will be no action against the Chief Minister, as he had not resorted to any anti-party activities,” he said.
However, YSR Congress party alleged that the Congress party had enacted a big drama by expelling its six Seemandhra MPs.
Party’s official spokesperson Gattu Ramachandra Rao on Tuesday reminded that the Chief Minister had staged a dharna at New Delhi, and the Seemandhra ministers were working against the decision of the party high command on bifurcation of the State.
He questioned as to why the Congress high command had not taken action against the Chief Minister and the Ministers.
