Why KCR Wants A Separate High Court

The High Court once again found fault with KCR for his manner of administration. A division bench of the Hyderabad high court rebuked Telangana authorities for freezing the bank account of AP intermediate education board and summoned the secretary of the Telangana inter mediate board to court.

“Despite the division of assets and liabilities, emergence of two separate inter boards for two states and even opening independent bank accounts by both the boards Telangana authorities froze our account. Our account with SBI, MJ Market branch in Hyderabad, was frozen at the instance of the Telangana intermediate board secretary,“ AP board secretary MV Satyanarayana complained to the court.

The bench said that bank authorities should have obtained legal opinion first, or approached the court seeking a solution before freezing the account.

It summoned the Telangana inter board secretary to court to explain the rationale behind his action, and officials turned up at the appointed time. Upon the latter’s request, the case has been adjourned by a couple of days.

In the history of independent India, no Chief Minister has probably been pulled up by the judiciary as many times as KCR. That is probably why KCR is getting his MP’s and lawyers to create a nuisance demanding the bifurcation of the High Court.

Would a Telangana High Court filled with Telangana judges rule in his favor?
