Why is Pawan frequently falling sick?

Normally, film stars and sports personalities tend to maintain a lot of physical fitness. They regularly go to gyms to maintain physique and health, as they have to spend long hours on field and during the shootings.

Even serious politicians are very health conscious. Especially those in power engage personal physicians and health trainers to see that they are physically fit as they have to be available round the clock to the people. They are very cautious about their diet and see that they do not fall sick.

That was the reason why leaders like Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, N Chandrababu Naidu and Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy could take up marathon padayatras across the length and breadth of the state to bring their parties to power.

Naidu, who is now 74 years old, is still agile and the way he spent sleepless nights and travelled extensively in the flood-hit areas of Vijayawada for 10 days to oversee relief operations, was definitely an inspiration to many young politicians.

But one is surprised to see power star, Jana Sena Party president and deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan frequently falling sick with cold, fever and backpain for quite some time.

Pawan Kalyan did not attend the cabinet meeting held on Thursday and was nowhere to be seen when several leaders left for Mumbai to pay homage to the departed industrial tycoon Ratan Tata. As the deputy chief minister of the state, he was expected to attend the funeral of Tata.

Enquiries revealed that Pawan Kalyan was suffering from cold and fever for the last few days. Hence, he was advised to take rest for some days.

Even during the recent “prayashitta deeksha” (penance for repentance) following the Tirumala laddu controversy, Pawan Kalyan looked uncomfortable. He embarked on climbing up the Tirumala hills, but reportedly suffered backpain and fever during the journey.

After returning from his Tirupati trip, too, Pawan Kalyan was not visible much because of his ill-health. This has surprised many.

“He is basically a hero in films. He needs to maintain good health and physique. One wonders whether he has any personal physician or gym trainer,” an analyst said.

Even during the election campaign in March, April and May, Pawan fell sick several times due to sunstroke, dehydration and fever. Earlier, too, he had cancelled his Varahi Yatra quite a few times because of ill-health.

It is time, the deputy chief minister should focus on his health, because he has a long way to go in politics!
