Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy condemned Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao for not thanking Congress president Sonia Gandhi during the Sakala Janula Bheri held at Nizam College Grounds on Sunday.
Talking to reporters here on Monday, Ponguleti said it was Sonia Gandhi who had turned the dream of Telangana State into a reality.
He said that the Congress party had taken the maximum risk by deciding in favour of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh to carve Telangana.
The historic decision to form Telangana was taken to fulfill the aspirations of people in Telangana region, he pointed out.
However, KCR did not thank Sonia Gandhi in the public meeting. Instead, he took the names of BJP leaders Rajnath Singh and Sushma Swaraj.
Stating that KCR had no control over his words and actions, he said that KCR was trying to take the entire credit for Telangana formation while ignoring the sacrifices made by other youth, NGOs and political parties, especially the Congress party.
