Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao was not interested in stalling the controversial Polavaram Bill which was passed by Rajya Sabha on Monday.
This was alleged by former Congress minister Shabbir Ali. He said KCR was just getting vocal on the issue instead of making to national capital.
He wondered why the TRS chief did not go to New Delhi to make all out efforts to stall Polavaram bill.
He suggested that the TRS leadership take up the issue with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee, other leaders at New Delhi, instead of calling for bandhs and dharnas.
“If KCR makes to national capital, we will also extend cooperation”, Ali said, adding that the Telangana CM should have already taken up the issue with the Centre, which is eagerly going ahead with the issue. It is not proper to KCR to adopt dual standards on the issue", he alleged.
He also took exception to Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu for doing favor to AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Venkaiah seems to be forgetting that he is the Minister for the entire nation, not just to AP alone, he added.
