The sudden decision of Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to go to New Delhi on Friday night came a surprise to many, as there was no such schedule decided earlier.
Normally, when a chief minister decides to go to Delhi, a lot protocol formalities have to be done. The officials take the appointment of union ministers who KCR would be meeting well in advance and accordingly the programme chart has to be prepared.
However, KCR decided on Friday evening that he would be going to Delhi a couple of hours later. Enquiries revealed that the chief minister had some cataract problem which has been irritating him for quite some time. If he gets admitted in a local hospital in Hyderabad, there would be a lot of media attention and it would lead to wild speculations.
So he took an appointment with a doctor in Delhi who advised him to come to Delhi to get a minor surgery done on his eye.
The Chief Minister is said to have suffering from eye ailment for quite sometime hence required immediate attention.
According to sources he will stay in Delhi for five days and apart from taking the treatment for his eye, he is likely to meet his party MPs and some union ministers during his stay in the national capital.
