The Andhra Pradesh government has recently issued a GO to implement the promises made for the uplift of Kapu community.
The speciality of this GO is that the schemes and even the buildings being constructed for Kapu welfare are being named after Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
For the first time in the country, all the government schemes are being named after Chandrababu Naidu. And now, even caste-oriented schemes meant for Kapus are also being given Naidu’s name. Even Kapu community buildings being constructed in five districts will be called Chandranna Bhavans.
Already, the scheme meant for granting loans to Kapu students to pursue higher education abroad has been named “Chandranna Videshi Vidya Deevena”; and the loan scheme for Kapu unemployed youth is called Chandranna Swayam Upaadhi etc.
There is nothing wrong in pacifying agitating Kapus by announcing various schemes; but is it not a bit too much to name every scheme and building of Kapus after Chandrababu Naidu?
