The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi government on Thursday accepted the offer of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for talks to resolve contentious issues, but asked him to consult his party leaders in Telangana first.
Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao sougt to know whether Naidu had talked to his party leaders in Telangana on issues like power supply, Krishna water sharing, Polavaram etc.
"First, Naidu must take the opinion of its Telangana leaders on various issues before coming to talks with his government. His own party members from Telangana are opposing the party views on various issues. First talk to them,” the minister advised.
Naidu alleged that by setting up a fence the TRS government had created bad blood between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh employees.
He said the fence was erected on the directions of the Governor and his government had nothing to do with it. He said that though the fence was arranged there was no hostility between the employees of both regions.
