Why Bring Up YSR Now?

Why Bring Up YSR Now?

More than developing the 13 districts in the newly formed Andhra Pradesh, looks like the ruling party Telugu Desam party is more interested in planning counter attacks against YSRCP.

During the discussion regarding the Governor speech, Telugu Desam party tried to drag in the name of late YS Rajasekhara Reddy though it had no bearings on the discussion.

All those who have been following Andhra Pradesh politics are well aware that Chandra Babu Naidu and YS Rajasekhara Reddy were political rivals. Their rivalry carried on for 15 years.

When Babu was the CM for a decade, YSR sat in the opposition and when YS Rajasekhara Reddy was the chief minister for 10 years, Chandra Babu sat in the opposition. Now, after the death of YSR, his son YS Jagan has become the opposition leader. So, TDP is trying its best to corner YS Jagan by referring to YSR time and again. But the millon dollar question is what is the need for TDP to instigate Jagan?

Instead of raking up the past, all political leaders should now focus on the development of Andhra Pradesh. That’s what the people want them to spend their energies on instead of talking of YSR and his governance.

Both the TDP and YSRCP should realize that they don’t have time to waste in allegations and counter allegations. They should work with full dedication to build a new and developed Andhra Pradesh. On one hand, Jagan is extending his support to foster growth and development in the state. So, it’s time TDP rethinks its strategy and pays more attention to development-oriented discussions.
