Avanti Srinivasa Rao, who served as a minister in the YSRCP for three years and as the Visakhapatnam district party president, bid farewell to the party three months ago.
At that time, he spoke favorably about the TDP-led coalition government.
He criticized the YSRCP for engaging in criticism within just six months of coming to power and argued that the TDP coalition should be given time.
Moreover, he praised that the governance was good and praised both the Jana Sena and the TDP.
Despite all this, there is ongoing debate about whether Avanti has received an invitation from either party.
He is keen on contesting the upcoming elections from Bhimili, where both the TDP and Jana Sena are strong.
Ganta Srinivasa Rao, a sitting TDP MLA, is reportedly opposed to Avanti’s entry into the party. On the other hand, the Jana Sena has a youth leader named Panchakarla Sandeep.
When he contested from Jana Sena, he secured around 25000 votes, and he is known to be close to Pawan Kalyan.
For these reasons, Avanti has not yet received an invitation from either party. Some believe he is waiting for the right time while focusing on managing his educational institutions.
