Former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh have designated themselves to be the national president and national general secretary of Telugu Desam Party.
So, they are not confined only to Andhra Pradesh, but the entire country. Both father and son have been operating from Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, instead of Amaravati, the present capital of Andhra Pradesh.
Yet, day in and day out, Naidu and Lokesh have been attacking only the Andhra Pradesh government led by YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, as if they are worried about only Andhra Pradesh and not the rest of the country.
For example, on Thursday, Naidu wrote a letter to Andhra Pradesh chief secretary making wild allegations of corruption in the acquisition of lands for house site distribution for the poor and demanded a high-level inquiry into the same.
The other day, the TDP national chief also wrote a letter to Prime Minister seeking a comprehensive probe into the allegations of telephone tapping. This issue also is confined only to Andhra Pradesh. Similarly, his son Lokesh has been regularly tweeting on the alleged corruption in the YSRC government.
As a matter of fact, it is the responsibility of TDP Andhra Pradesh state unit president Kala Venkat Rao or other office bearers of the TDP’s AP unit to raise the issues pertaining to Andhra Pradesh. Except making an occasional statement, one doesn’t know what Kala Venkat Rao is doing.
Ironically, Naidu and Lokesh, who have been staying Telangana’s capital city, have not been making any comments or criticism against the Telangana government. Since they are national president and general secretary of the TDP, the father-son duo should also speak about the TRS government’s failures.
But they are not uttering a word against KCR or his government. If they think everything is fine in Telangana, they should speak out the same or appreciate KCR or even give him advices. But neither Naidu nor Lokesh has made any statement in this regard.
For that matter, not just Telangana, there are 28 other states and the TDP bosses can speak about the issues in these states in the capacity of national president and general secretary. But they don’t make any such attempt.
So, why should they claim themselves to be national leaders?
