Political punch, the satirical Faebook page started by Inturi Ravi Kiran, a great fan of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, is not exactly his own brainchild, if one were to believe the theory being floated by pro-Telugu Desam Party media.
According to this theory, Ravi Kiran was only working for YSR Congress party information technology wing for designing and maintaining its web pages. However, the idea of starting a Facebook page in the name of Political Punch has not come to him originally.
It was the brainchild of popular political strategist Prashant Kishor. Though he had been officially hired by Jaganmohan Reddy recently, he has been giving ideas to Jagan for the last one year.
One of the ideas of Prashant is to activate the party’s social media and make an aggressive attack on the ruling Telugu Desam Party.
He suggested that the party should adopt innovative methods on social media to get into the people and expose the ugly face of Chandrababu Naidu and his party.
That was how the Political Punch came into limelight. Ravi Kiran was entrusted with the responsibility of taking pot shots at Naidu, Lokesh and his party leaders by drawing caricatures and also morphing the pictures, so as to make fun of them in public domain.
Well, this is the theory of the yellow media. If Prashant Kishor can give such cheap ideas, then Jagan should think twice before finalising the contract with him.
