With Telangana state being confirmed at a haphazard manner many finer details about the bifurcation were neglected.
Anyhow, looking forward, it is heard that the Telangana seekers are now working on who will write the Telugu anthem. As such ‘Maa Telugu thalli ki mallepoo dhanda’ exists.
Some are thinking of coming up with a separate anthem for the Telangana state and who would be the right person to pen the anthem.
As such, one poet called Andesri wrote an anthem about six years ago for Telangana and it became a big hit in Youtube. That can be used as an anthem.
However, new attempts are being made regarding this. One thought is to have it penned by C Na Re but he has written unified Andhra song ‘Telugu Jaathi manadhi’.
The Telangana born Andesri has not studied and comes from a very backward community so he is a good contender. As for Suddala Ashok Teja, he is a national award winner. Among Telugu lyricists only three got national awards- Sri Sri, Veturi and Suddala. The first two are from Andhra and Suddala is from Telangana.
As a result, some Telangana groups are reportedly thinking that it would be appropriate to have Suddala as the lyric writer for Telangana anthem.
Let us see who becomes the chosen one.
