Who Will Support Whom After Polls?

If speculations are to be believed, Telangana Rashtra Samithi and the Congress party might enter into a match fixing after elections, as neither party is set to get absolute majority.

According to sources, there are already backroom negotiations between the leaders of the TRS and the Congress on a possible post-poll alliance in case there is a hung assembly.

Realization seemed to have also dawned on the leadership of both the parties that they would have to support each other in order to form the government in the new state.

Apparently realizing the ground reality, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao is not going very aggressive against Congress party, particularly Sonia and Rahul.

The sudden change of heart of KCR and his softening tone and tenor against the Congress on the eve of the crucial polling scheduled to take place on Wednesday is clear indication that the pink party’s chief was eager and anxious to enlist the support of the Congress in his desperation to occupy the Chief Minster’s chair.

However, the question is who will support whom. If the Congress gets higher number than the TRS, it would call the shots and KCR will have to play second fiddle.

If the Congress gets closer to the magic figure of 60 seats, it would rather ally with the MIM and might try to split even the Telangana TDP, rather than approaching the TRS. But if the gap is too wide, it might enter into a post-poll alliance with the TRS. And the pink party, too, will do the same thing.
