Lok Satta leader Jayaprakash Narayana has now taken a new stand and is blaming late YS Rajasekhara Reddy for imminent state bifurcation.
It is indeed surprising to hear JP making such comments as there is no connection between the developments in state during YSR’s regime and the developments that are taking place now.
JP is demanding that all parties should sit together and thrash out issues. But he needs to remember that leaders from various regions are in no mood to give up their demands. Yet, he continues to tow the TDP line.
One can quite understand the TDP and Congress leaders making such statements as they have a totally different political agenda. But one fails to understand how an intellectual like JP can make such vague statements.
JP who says that the bifurcation issue gained momentum when 40 MLAs from the YSR government submitted a letter for separate Telangana has clearly overlooked the developments that happened during the TDP regime and the developments that took place under the subsequent Congress government. He insists YSR was the reason behind the T problem.
The state is in need of a strong leader who can guide them to a bright future, says he. However, instead of playing the blame game, JP will be better off if he can suggest who has such potential.
