Ramana Deekshitulu says the lord’s jewelry might have been siphoned off to Singapore, Pawan Kalyan says Middle East and other allegations are flying in thick and fast.
Politics have taken centre stage and the politicians are least bothered about the sentiments of the devotees.
The devotees are concerned about only one thing and that is to preserve the sanctity of the holy Tirumala temple.
Against this backdrop, the TDP merely serving a defamation notice on Ramana Deekshitulu is just a knee-jerk reaction.
The allegations are of a highly serious nature and demand a probe at the highest level.
What comes to mind immediately is an investigation by the CBI. But then again, everyone knows that the CBI is just a tool in the hands of the ruling party at the Centre.
When Congress was at the helm, it used the CBI against Jagan Reddy to settle political scores with him, now the BJP is using it against its opponent like Lalu Yadav etc.
Therefore, even if a CBI inquiry is instituted by the Centre, there is a possibility of the investigating body being used to put the TDP in a spot of bother, given the current political atmosphere.
The need off the hour is for an impartial, sincere probe into the various allegations being made and the culprits have to be brought to justice whether they are from the TDP, Congress, BJP or the YSRCP.
The question is: Is such a probe possible and that too, in our country?
