That Chandrababu is aping Narendra Modi in each and every aspect of governance is apparent be it the construction of smart cities, 'Make in AP campaign' or something else.
However, Chandrababu Naidu is differing in principle with Modi on a very key issue.
The ‘Make in India’ website of the Union government clearly mentions that the ‘smart cities’ will be constructed keeping in mind, the needs of conservation of fertile agricultural lands and protection of sensitive natural environment.
Unfortunately, Naidu is throwing these very considerations to the winds in his mad rush to go in for the construction of the new capital.
Many experts including the ‘Sivaramakrishnan Committee’ have clearly advised the location of the new capital as it would endanger the above concerns.
However, Naidu is having none of it and listening to none on this issue only strengthening the suspicion that the whole exercise is designed only with the aim of benefitting his community which is the leading economic community in that region.
Incidentally, Mr. Naidu, since your community is already super-rich, why can’t you think of the poor people for a change?
