As the process of Telangana state formation gains momentum, the political circles are curious over the whereabouts of a staunch Telangana protagonist and Medak MP Vijayashanthi.
Where is she? Nobody knows where she is and what her plans are.
The last thing that anybody had heard about her was her meeting with the Congress President Sonia Gandhi and her reported plans to quit Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and join the Congress.
It was also reported that she was eyeing for seeking re-election from Medal Parliament seat.
Soon after that, she went into the oblivion. Though the crucial developments have been happening on Telangana front, including the AP Reorganisation Bill reaching the state Assembly, Vijayashanthi has chosen to keep herself away from the media limelight.
Though she has not formally joined the Congress, she is said to be maintaining a communication channel with the ruling party.
But, Ramulamma has been avoiding any public appearances these days and nobody what exactly her political plans are.
Soon after the Congress Working Committee (CWC) announced its decision on formation of Telangana state on July 30, Vijayashanthi made and made moves to warm up to the Congress, much to the chagrin of her party boss and fellow MP K Chandrasekhar Rao. She was subsequently suspended from the TRS for indulging in anti-party activities.
The firebrand actress of yesteryears has burnt the bridges with the TRS leadership following an ego clash with KCR.
Vijayashanthi has been cosying up to the Congress to secure her political future. She has even trained her guns at KCR, accusing him of meting out injustice to her.
She had also criticised him for issuing "provocative" statements against Seemandhra people at a time when the process of Telangana state formation has already begun.
