Former Congress MP and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kavuri Sambasiva Rao is nowhere to be seen or heard these days.
Though he joined the BJP last year, the party leaders still treat him as a Congress leader, as he had been with the grand old party for several decades.
The local BJP leaders have been ignoring him and not inviting him to any party activity in Andhra Pradesh.
As a result, Kavuri is keeping away from politics and using the BJP membership to get his personal and business deals done in New Delhi.
In fact, not just Kavuri, every senior leader who defected from the Congress to the BJP is busy with his or her personal work and not for any political purpose, say sources.
