The mysterious disappearance of Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for six hours in New Delhi on Friday night raised many eyebrows in political circles.
Naidu, who landed in Delhi airport from his US tour at 3 pm, was supposed to fly to Vijayawada airport straightaway immediately.
The media persons in Vijayawada were also told the same. However, Naidu did not return to Vijayawada till 11.30 pm; which means he took off at Delhi airport at around 9.30 pm.
So, what did he do for six hours in Delhi? Though the publicity wing of the Chief Minister’s Office tried to explain that Naidu had stayed put in the airport longue meeting various people and holding official meetings, there were no takers for this explanation.
Inquiries revealed that he had gone into Delhi city and met a few important people before returning to the airport.
Nobody knows where he had gone in Delhi and who he had met. Going by the speculations doing rounds in some media circles, Naidu had met some top people in the NDA and sought to neutralise the impact of YSR Congress party Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
It is learnt Jagan had submitted some classified documents to Modi against Naidu and Lokesh in the Agrigold scam. May be, Naidu had a meeting with the PMO officials to explain his version and ensure that the PMO ignores these documents.
