When Sonia Gandhi made Rosayya the CM, Jagan Reddy was understandably very upset. And although Rosayya personally conveyed to Jagan that he can treat the government like his own and every kind of assistance would be extended to him, Jagan continued to sulk.
Had Jagan perhaps heeded Rosayya’s words then, Congress would have remained in power, the State probably wouldn’t have been bifurcated and Jagan wouldn’t have gone to jail.
All this was then! Jagan is now gaining in experience as a politician and is no longer as autocratic as he was once believed to be.
So, when Rosayya recently called up Jagan and recommended the name of Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy from Vizianagaram, for an MLC ticket, Jagan readily obliged. Of course, Swamy won without any contest justifying the recommendation of Rosayya.
But more importantly, Jagan’s willingness to follow the advice of senior politicians is an indication of his growing tact as a leader or else, since Rosayya is believed to be in the good books of Modi, Jagan wanted to be in the good books of Rosayya.
