Amit Shah visited the house of Badminton champion Saina Nehwal in Hyderabad and spent some time with her family.

Naturally, this visit by Shah has set tongues wagging that Saina or someone from her family may soon be taking a direct plunge into active politics.
Considering the fact that Saina is a household name, it is more likely that she will endorse the BJP in the 2019 polls and her support could also be vital in Hyderabad which has a huge Hindi-speaking population.
While the BJP says it was just a courtesy call by Shah, it is apparent that the head of the saffron party would not take time out on a short trip for mere civil courtesies unless there was some tangible benefit to the whole exercise.
