In his latest statement, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has said that the new capital city will be around Vijayawada.
This has triggered a fresh round of discussions as he maintained that the new capital will be between Vijayawada and Guntur till now.
There were also rumours that the capital would be developed in the Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalagiri circuit.
Meanwhile, Chandra Babu has officially announced that the new capital will be near Vijayawada. This could mean that it could be either at Mangalagiri or Nuziveedu or even Gannavaram.
However, Babu played his cards carefully without disclosing the actual location. At the end, the final place will be decided based upon availability of land which will enable the construction of Secretariat, Raj Bhavan and Assembly.
Now, the latest question is would it be possible to develop a new capital city right from the scratch?
