As expected, Narendra Modi asked the TDP leaders in Parliament, the question that was uppermost in everyone’s mind.
“If you feel that we have cheated you on the SCS issue, why did you welcome the special package and agree with us that the special package offered more than the SCS? Was it not one of your own MPs who even welcomed it here in Delhi?” questioned the Prime Minister.
Immediately, there was a huge uproar from the TDP benches and one could not quite make out what it was they were saying amid the entire din. But, it is the same question uppermost in the minds of the Andhras.
Did not the TDP welcome the package? Was not Venkayya Naidu felicitated grandly in Vijayawada and other places by the TDP cadre? And, did Naidu not threaten to throw those people in jail who were asking for nothing short of SCS?
Why then this no-confidence motion about not giving SCS to AP? This was the gist of the editorials carried by all leading newspapers in India barring Eenadu and Andhra Jyothi.
