Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao blatantly defends poaching of MPs, MLAs and other senior leaders from other parties into the TRS, stating that it is very common in politics.
“When Y S Rajasekhar Reddy was the chief minister, he lured many of the TRS MLAs into the Congress. Even after his death, the Congress leadership engineered defection of TRS leaders Vijayashanti and Aravind Reddy into the party. What do you call it? If they do, it is called samsaram (living together); and if we do it, they call it vyabhicharam (prostitution). How can it be?” KCR asked, while admitting Congress MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy along with former MP G Vivek and his brother G Vinod into the TRS.
The chief minister said only TRS would be able to give protection to the people of the state and that is why, leaders from other parties were joining it.
“There were several attempts in the past by the Opposition parties to weaken the TRS and the Telangana. But we have successfully thwarted all their attempts,” he said.
