Telangana Chief Minister and TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao is learnt to be making handsome offers to the TDP and Congress legislators for luring them into the TRS.
TDP legislator from Parkal Challa Dharma Reddy, who returned to the TDP after meeting KCR, is said to have been tempted by the offers.
On Friday, he stayed away from the bus yatra of the Telangana TDP leaders and went to his constituency to meet his supporters in his Parakala Assembly constituency of Warangal district to decide the future course of his action.
He reportedly informed his party workers that KCR had offered to provide Rs 250 crores for the development of the constituency and also offered 20 per cent of the works to those joining the TRS.
Other freebies like ministerial berths, important positions in party hierarchy in the district etc were also stated to have been promised. These sensational revelations were recorded by the party workers and leaked to the media.
So, it is no surprising that many of the TDP legislators are being attracted to these freebies. They feel that their continuance in TDP would not help them in any way either politically or financially cannot be completely ignored.
Dharma Reddy might defect to TRS on any day as he seemed to have already been mesmerized by the incentives the TRS boss if offering.
