We're with Jana Sena please, says BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party in Andhra Pradesh has landed in a tricky situation a few days ago after Jana Sena Party president and actor Pawan Kalyan expressed displeasure over the alliance between the two parties.

The power star has almost indicated that there will be no alliance with the BJP, as somewhere something is wrong between the two parties. He even said he was running out of time and patience and can’t wait anymore for the road map from the BJP.

Within an hour of Pawan making the comments against the BJP, Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu came down to the hotel and met the power star. Both announced that they would work together in fighting against the YSR Congress party government led by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

This has created ripples in the BJP. Senior leader and former state BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana raised a banner of revolt against present state BJP president Somu Veerraju, blaming it for the lack of coordination with the Jana Sena Party. He, however, was forced to go silent after that.

Against this backdrop, Veerraju on Thursday gave a clarification on the alliance with the Jana Sena Party. In a video statement, Veerraju said there was no truth in the reports that the alliance between the BJP and the Jana Sena Party was rocks.

“Some people distorted my statement made at a press conference in Anantapur. I have never said the BJP has decided to maintain distance from the Jana Sena. It is absolutely rubbish,” he said.

Stating that he had already made it clear that the BJP would continue its alliance with Jana Sena and the people, Veerraju said both the parties would sail together till the next elections. He, however, did not make any comments on Jana Sena-TDP friendship.

The other day, BJP national secretary in-charge of Andhra Pradesh affairs Sunil Deodhar said the BJP would have alliance with only the Jana Sena and there was no question of entertaining the TDP. Thus, he has thrown the ball into the court of Pawan Kalyan.
