The Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's controversial move to strip the Telangana Minister D Sridhar Babu of the Legislative Affairs portfolio has triggered anger among the party's Telangana leaders.
The Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar has on Thursday made a sensation remark, saying that they would eliminate the Chief Minister if he dared to enter the Telangana region.
"We will shoot down the helicopter carrying the Chief Minister if he dares to come here," a combative Prabhakar said.
He said that Kiran had insulted the people of Telangana by shifting Sridhar Babu from the Legislative Affairs Ministry and deserved a punishment from the people of Telangana.
"By this politically motivated reshuffle of the cabinet, Kiran has proved his devious mentality. All Telangana Ministers and leaders must be careful about him," the MP said.
Despite the Seemandhra lobby's desperate attempts to stall the bifurcation process, the Telangana state will become a reality and nobody can stop the realization of the statehood goal, Prabhakar said.
He also demanded an inquiry into all the decisions taken by the Chief Minister since the Congress Working Committee (CWC) announced its decision on formation of separate Telangana state on July 30 last year.
"If the Chief Minister comes to Karimnagar district to inaugurate Ellapally project, we will shoot down his helicopter. It is the responsibility of the police of the Telangana region to see that the Chief Minister's chopper does not land in Telangana region," the MP said.
