YSRCP leader YS Jagan has expressed confidence that his party will win 167 seats during the next assembly elections.
Speaking at the party meet in Vijayawada, Jagan said that TDP had won due to the false promises it made and due its alliance with BJP.
Despite that YSRCP managed to get 67 seats he pointed out. Next time, the party will win nothing less than 167 seats, he assured his party members.
The party was meeting to assess the reasons behind its failure during the 2014 general elections.
Jagan said time had come for the party to think and act practically by accepting ground reality. He called upon his party leaders to work closely with grassroots level workers and build a strong cadre by 2019.
He also took the opportunity to criticize Chandra Babu Naidu for his fake promises to mislead the people of Seemandhra prior to the polls.
Jagan said that even if Chandra Babu fails to fulfill his poll promises, especially loan waivers, media organizations like Eenadu, Andhra Jyothi and TV9 would cook up elaborate stories projecting Chandra Babu as a visionary and pushing the entire blame on to RBI and Central government for his failure.
