The results in municipal elections do not indicate that it is a negative vote against YSRCP, says the party’s official spokesperson Gattu Ramachandra Rao.
He said that they had anticipated a pro-TDP vote in urban areas. He expressed confidence that the pattern would be very different for assembly and Lok Sabha seats.
Gattu pointed out the role of yellow media in influencing the voter opinion. On the other hand, they had only recently mobilized party cadre, he said.
YSRCP is not worried as the results were expected he said and added that TDP had only five days to rejoice as they would surely lose in the assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
On May 16, the party would meet to decide if Jagan has to be made the CM, he said.
