![WB Report: Nothing To Cheer About, Naidu!](https://www.greatandhra.com/newphotos9/ga_politics1611037702.jpeg)
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is on cloud nine with the World Bank giving second rank to his State in the country for creating industrial-friendly environment and being the easy State to do business.
The World Bank report has also led to the talk whether it was done to appease the Narendra Modi government, for most of the top States in the list are ruled by BJP and its allies in the NDA.
Except Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh, all the remaining States in the top 10 in the World Bank list are ruled by NDA partners. And in Uttar Pradesh, too, the ruling Samajwadi Party is inching closer to the NDA of late.
Analysts say the World Bank report will not fetch any additional benefits to any State. They do not get any extra grants or loans from the World Bank.
There is an apprehension that it might create an impression among the business sections that AP is better than Telangana in terms of industrial climate.
But, industrialists go by the ground realities rather than the World Bank reports. It is just an academic exercise.
So, there is nothing much for Naidu to cheer about. At the most, he can use it to garner some publicity in his favourite media!
