With the Centre giving pittance for the development of new capital of Andhra Pradesh, TDP chief and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has decided to go to people to seek money and material from them for the construction of capital.
On Thursday, Naidu sought the cooperation of all people in building up of new capital for the state. In a video conference with all districts from the Secretariat, the Chief Minister said everybody should contribute for development of the new capital city.
He said every state government employee should also contribute his one day salary in every month for this purpose. At least a brick should be contributed by every person, Naidu said.
The Chief Minister said the name of new capital city would be “Amaravathi” and directed officials to work for achieving double digit growth.
