Vedavyas Says He Felt Insulted In YSRC!

As expected, Kapu leader and former deputy speaker of the state assembly Buragadda Vedavyas has decided to join the Telugu Desam Party.

On Sunday, he quit the YSR Congress party and announced that he would join the TDP in the presence of chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on October 21.

Vedyavyas was originally in the Congress party, before shifting to Praja Rajyam. He later returned to the Congress party and later joined the YSR Congress party and contested from Pedana constituency in Krishna district in 2014 elections.

He, however, lost the elections and after that, he was hardly visible in the YSR Congress. Now, he is joining the TDP for his political future.

So far so good. But, like all the other senior leaders who resigned from the YSR Congress party, Vedavyas too blamed it on the highhanded behaviour of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for his resignation from the party.

He said he had felt humiliated in YSRC, as Jagan had no respect for seniors.

“There were many occasions, he encouraged people from his own group in the party and ignored me while organising programmes in my constituency. That is why I have decided to join the TDP,” he said.

Vedavyas entry into the TDP at a time when the Kapu agitation is all set to pick up might give some moral boost to the ruling party, say sources.
