Telugu Desam Party leader Vallabhneni Vamsi, known for his aggressive attack on his rivals, turned his ire on Grey Hounds Inspector General of Police (IG) P Sita Ramanjaneyulu on Tuesday, alleging that there was threat to his life from the police officer.
Vamsi lodged a complaint with the Director General of Police (DGP) Prasad Rao and alleged that the IG was trying to eliminate him through ex-naxalites.
The IG also threatened to kill him in an encounter, Vamshi stated in his complaint. He urged the DGP to provide security and save his life.
Vamsi also lodged a complaint with Vijayawada Police Commissioner and sought an appointment with the Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, Sita Ramanjaneyulu said that he has no information about the complaint and he had nothing to say about it.
There was some problem between Vamsi and Sitaramnaneyulu when the latter was Vijayawada police commissioner.
Later, the cop was transferred to Hyderabad.
